About Dr. Novich I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology (PsyD) from Long Island University, where I concentrated in serious mental illness. After graduation, I completed an APA-accredited internship at Pace University Counseling Center in lower Manhattan, and a postdoctoral fellowship in Student Counseling and Disability Services at Stevens Institute of Technology. I hold a certificate in Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy from the Center for Optimal Living, and worked as a psychologist at the Center for Motivation and Change, a premier private practice that provides evidence-based treatments for people struggling with substance use and other compulsive behavior difficulties. I currently works as the clinical director at JQY (Jewish Queer Youth), a nonprofit organization that supports LGBTQ, Jewish youth from historically unaccepting communities many of whom have Orthodox, Hasidic, or Sephardi/Mizrahi backgrounds.
